I am very passionate about fitness – safe, smart fitness. Before opening the studio, I spent 15 years personal training and managing in a popular fitness club. Throughout that time, I couldn’t help but feel that something was missing…in my programming as well as my life.
What was missing was BALANCE: body, mind, and spirit.
Although my degree is one in Kinesiology from The University of Western Ontario, it was my training through STOTT PILATES® that has inspired me to apply the knowledge I have of the human body & movement with the concept of creating and maintaining balance within the body and the mind… to create wholeness. When both mind and body has a well defined symbiotic relationship, it is then that we can learn to be more present, aware and in turn happier and more successful. This was the key for me to be able to make a living doing what I love, which has always been my life goal.
Personally, I have pursued extensive training through STOTT PILATES as I find this particular certifying body to be thorough, well known and have very high standards that they hold their students to. Training quality is important – you are trusting us with your body. I strive to maintain complete presence while practicing patience and understanding when I am working with people. These things make a difference. All of our instructors do the same. You will not find a stronger, more caring training team than at Create Balance!
