Basic Principles Class
Ground yourself with the Basic Principles of the STOTT PILATES® method, and master proper technique to reap the benefits of group classes. This session is ideal for those new to Pilates, and/or for those looking to refine their Pilates skills and improve technique and form. This class teaches AND reinforces the Five Basic Principles and establishes a solid foundation from which to progress. Our Basic Principles class is offered quarterly, and if FREE to all.
Matwork classes help to set a strong foundation for all realms of Pilates. Based off of the Five Basic Principles of the STOTT PILATES® method, our Mat-based classes will often incorporate a number of “small props” to improve body awareness while challenging strength and endurance – Good body awareness allows us to move more efficiently during all activities! Our Mat classes are a total body workout designed to build endurance, enhance flexibility and strengthen and tone using carefully selected exercises that help stretch and lengthen the body. Come and explore the wonders of the Stability Ball™, Foam Roller, Flex-Band®, Toning Balls™, Fitness Circle®, and more! These classes will leave you feeling energized and balanced head to toe!
*We highly recommend that all new participants experience several matwork classes before trying any of the other classes we offer here at Create Balance!
The Reformer is one of the best-known and sought after pieces of Pilates equipment. It uses spring loaded resistance to help strengthen, lengthen, and work the body differently than in a matwork class. The Reformer is known to change the shape of your body by working the muscles in an elongated state, creating a long & lean look, without building bulk. Reformer classes will continue to be based on the Five Basic Principles of the STOTT PILATES® foundations, while further challenging your coordination, strengthening your core, enhancing flexibility and delivering a unique full body workout regime. These classes will leave you feeling powerful, strong, and invigorated!

The Split-Pedal Stability Chair™ (with handles) is a multi-functional Pilates machine that can be adjusted to train most muscle groups. The workout is unique, challenging, FUN, and a fantastic compliment to any Matwork & Reformer routine. This sturdy piece of equipment helps achieve upper- and lower-body strength and conditioning, enhance stability and improve body control. Great for rehabilitation clients or those who need to stay in a seated or upright position, helping rebalance muscles while providing a full-body workout. The chair also facilitates high-performance exercises for athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
The Spring Wall™ provides a very functional full body workout that challenges you in standing, kneeling, side lying, prone & supine positions. It combines the best of Matwork core exercises with the added resistance of spring tension unique and different from the Reformer. The Spring Wall™ facilitates the use of Stability balls, Rotational Discs, and Stability Cushions for additional exercise variations and modifications. This workout is designed to add a new challenge to the traditional Pilates exercises by incorporating spring resistance with tough to hold positions. These classes will help improve posture, offer variety to your Pilates regime, and leave you feeling balanced and strong! Previous experience in both Matwork and Reformer recommended.
The synchronicity of breath and movement is a powerful tool in creating strong, fluid movement, as well as a calming sense of mind. By moving through a series of Pilates and Yoga movements, coordinating breathe with every movement and pose, you will leave this class feeling strong and calm. The perfect class for anyone who wants to experience both wonderful methods of movement: Yoga & Pilates. Come ready to be challenged in both disciplines!
Dynamic Balance – Matwork Reformer
Improve body awareness while challenging strength, endurance, and BALANCE!
This is a total body workout that incorporates the use of the Stability Ball, and some of your other favourite small equipment. Designed with carefully selected exercises to enhance flexibility and challenge you to the core!
Take your body to new heights in this challenging, intermediate, fast-paced streamlined and flowing class.
Designed to build endurance, tone, and enhance flexibility! The repertoire is carefully selected to provide a high intensity workout to ensure your body is working and conditioning to its prime. The third Tuesday/Thursday of every month incorporates the Jumpboard! For experienced clients with a confident understanding of the Reformer and personal settings and modifications.
75 Minute Challenges
Improve your endurance with one of our 75 Minute Challenge Classes! Designed for those who have a minimum of 3-6 months previous Pilates experience and are looking for an extra challenge – These classes will push you, safely yet thoroughly. The added length will leave you feeling well worked, invigorated, and STRONG with a sense of calm. More moves, more sweat & more fun!
Total Body Conditioning
Take your workouts to the next level with our CORE™ Athletic Conditioning Program. This unique training program is a challenging interval style workout that focuses on functional fitness targeting core strength and kinesthetic awareness leading to improvements in total-body strength and power. Jumpstart your metabolism, optimize your athletic performance, and train smarter with the combination of body control and power movements that transform regular training regimens into high intensity, results-driven workouts. This class will help retrain unbalanced muscles, initiate the core, and build strength from within that will transfer on and off the playing field!
Get the best of both worlds with one of our combo classes! Dividing our 55 minute class into two parts, we spend one half of the class focusing on one aspect of Pilates (such as a matwork or reformer class) and pair it with another type of Pilates. Reap the benefits Pilates has to offer by experiencing more than one discipline all in one class!
Jumpboard classes offer a great cardiovascular addition into the Pilates world! This fast paced interval style of training will have your heart pumping within minutes of jumping! You will achieve remarkable results from participating in these classes on a regular basis – Increased stamina and endurance, leg strength and tone, calories burned, and great core strength! We recommend that participants are familiar with the 5 Basic Principles of STOTT PILATES® before hopping into one of these heart racing workouts! We also recommend that should you suffer from knee or back discomfort, that you please speak with an instructor prior to your first class. It is important to be well balanced and injury free in these areas to enjoy the Jumpboard.

Prana’s approach to yoga classes is very simple: whether you are a beginner or a seasoned yogi, “we are here to serve you”, and to celebrate the progression and milestones achieved.
